Remember how excited we were when our windows finally arrived?? Well now we’re even more excited (if that’s even possible) because the windows are being installed and they’re even sexier than we imagined they would be! That’s right I said sexy…and I’m talking about windows. Have a look at the pics below and try to argue with me…

Along with the window install, the crew is hard at work turning the house into a giant Home Depot ad prepping the house for the exterior cladding – which we’ll cover in a few upcoming posts…I’m thinking this calls for another edition of Design Week. 😉

Looks FAB! and I agree SEXY! we got new windows on our 120 year old house a few years ago and they install guys thought I was nuts with how much I squealed with excitement:)!
Tash @ thedreamhouseproject
Haha…Heather that was totally me. The day I was on site I was bouncing up and down like a kid on Christmas morning. The guys on the crew were just shaking their heads & laughing at me.
Jo-Anna
Looks amazing! I totally get your window love…you can never have too many!!
Tash @ thedreamhouseproject
Thanks Jo-Anna! Yea, having lots of natural light was a must for us. Its so cool to see all our ideas slowly coming together.

Oh my how I LOVE those dark windows! We were so close to doing this colour but opted not to because they windows we wanted came in a brown/black colour and I wasn’t sure how that would look. I cannot wait to see how your outside façade looks!
Tash @ thedreamhouseproject
Thanks Dani! We actually went back and forth on the colour A LOT! We knew we wanted black for the interior, but were worried it’d be too harsh with the exterior colours we chose – kinda like a girl with too much eye makeup, you know? In the end we opted for a 2 colour process & chose a custom paint colour for the exterior that we thought would work best. It cost us a little more – but seeing it now we’re SO happy we decided to splurge for it.

I love that you guys have a lot of light coming in. That’s something that sold me on our home – a big huge south facing window to let in lots of light. Can’t wait to see this whole thing done!
Tash @ thedreamhouseproject
I hear you Alex. Having so much natural light is probably my favourite thing about the design of the house. Even in the hallways, Kevin put so much thought into it. Can’t wait to get in so we can actually enjoy it!

Those are indeed some very lovely windows. It’s going to be so gorgeous when it’s all done!
Tash @ thedreamhouseproject
Thanks Danyelle! We think so too – but we might be a bit biased. 😉

A tiny bit jealous of all those windows! We have a fair amount, but the covered deck covers up most of the natural light in our home.
Tash @ thedreamhouseproject
I do love a covered deck though Virginia! I guess it’s a trade off. On the up side – you don’t have a need to hold an umbrella to BBQ in the rain. 🙂
beckipeckham
Those windows are delicious!! Really looking forward to seeing the outside all done! 🙂
Tash @ thedreamhouseproject
Thanks Becki! We’re looking forward to it too! So many decisions went into the exterior. It’s cool to slowly watch them come to life. 🙂

Tash @ thedreamhouseproject
Haha! Thanks Thalita. We’re pretty pumped our selves. Won’t be long now…
Dani @ lifeovereasy
Those windows are going to be gorgeous – you must be really excited! Looks like you are getting to the point soon where the house will really start to come together.
Tash @ thedreamhouseproject
Thanks Dani! We are!!! So excited. It’s getting there. Slowly but surely. Thanks for following along.
